Alles auf den Punkt

The Kaimug Group has optimized shift planning across various catering concepts using AI-based technology. From canteens to thermal restaurants to shopping centers, shift plans are created automatically based on sales data, availability and weather forecasts.

The result: 96% forecast accuracy, elimination of seasonal losses and measurable increase in profitability through precise demand planning.

Diversity as a challenge — no standard solution possible

{{everything}}

The Kaimug Group is not a classic franchise system. Each location works differently. A canteen runs with fixed working hours and standardized processes. A spa restaurant needs early, middle and late shifts with different levels of competence. Restaurants in shopping centers have highly fluctuating peak hours. And then there is the weather. Business is doing well in winter. Losses were regularly included in the summer. Consistent duty planning was impossible under these conditions — each location needed an individual solution.

AI instead of standardization — flexibility through data

The introduction of Nesto brought about a structural change. Not through standardization, but through flexibility. AI adapts to any location.

Small adjustments, big impact — what a percentage point means

{{KPIs}}

“Since its introduction, Nesto has made an important contribution to the profitability of the Kaimug Group. Because what we've won is cash. In my opinion, Nesto also makes sense in small companies with few employees. But what we definitely notice is that the bigger the company, the greater the effect that you can get out of with Nesto.”

What these figures mean in practice: Small adjustments have major financial consequences. A dishwasher that comes an hour later or leaves earlier saves 500 euros a month. Two hours of optimized planning per day can make the difference between 9% and 10% margin. That sounds like little, but in the catering industry, it is precisely this one percentage point that determines profitability or loss. Especially in weak months such as summer, when there used to be regular numbers in the red, precise demand planning now results in a black zero. Overstaffing costs money, understaffing costs service — Nesto balances both based on real data rather than assumptions.

From skeptic to user — when figures are convincing

{{work}}

The team's acceptance wasn't immediate. Experienced employees who have known their teams for years asked the legitimate question: What is the point of AI if you know exactly who is best used and when? The figures provided the answer. If 96% of sales forecasts are correct and the planning is understandable, this also convinces skeptics. Younger employees appreciate the intuitive operation and the ability to individually adjust shift suggestions. The system scales too — whether it's a small canteen with a few employees or a large chain with complex shift models.
